Predavanje se održava na engleskom jeziku:
The lecture looks into the growing challenge of anti-gender mobilization, which presents a significant barrier to the advancement of gender equality and sexual rights. Far from being a mere continuation of conservative resistance, this movement is marked by innovative organizational strategies, broad mobilization efforts, and a unique discourse that extends its reach beyond traditional conservative bases. With roots tracing back to the mid-1990s, the term "gender ideology" or “gender theory” has been co-opted by various actors, including religious institutions, right-wing populists, and nationalist parties, to rally against gender equality. The lecture explores the multifaceted nature of this opposition, identifying key actors, strategies, and the theoretical underpinnings that fuel their success. It also points to the fact that the anti-gender mobilizations capitalize on the current poli-crisis and offer simple solutions to complex problems. In this sense, anti-gender mobilization is a retrotopian project, which sees our future in returning to the past.
