Marija Šarić is a senior teaching and research assistant at the Department of sociology of the University of Zadar. In 2021 she completed her higher education with the doctoral thesis defence at the International Joint Degree doctoral programme in the Sociology of regional and local development of the University of Zadar and University of Teramo, Italy. Through the topic of her dissertation, International circular labour migrations: experiences of women from Slavonija, she deepened her scientific interests in qualitative methodology, and sociology of work, gender, and migration. She teaches qualitative methods courses and a course on theory building in sociology, where she is dedicated to cultivating sociological imagination, and creating a space for critical thinking and open discussions.
Projects
2024. Researcher on the project “Reconciling Private and Professional Life”, implemented within the framework of the Thematic Systemic Support by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development. The project is led by the organization B.a.B.e. – Be Active. Be Emancipated. The principal researcher for the scientific component of the project is Valerija Barada, PhD.
