Luka Antonina is a teaching assistant at the Department of Sociology, University of Zadar. He has a Master's degree in Sociology and English Language and Literature. He obtained the title of Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology in 2015, at the University of Zadar, by defending his thesis under the supervision of dr. sc. Vjeran Katunarić (Historical Sociology and Bourdieu's Theory of Practice: Transformative Dialectics of Habitus and Field). His research interests are in the field of sociology of culture and art, media, visual sociology and discourse analysis. He is currently working on his PhD thesis, on the subject of the dynamics of change and development of signifying practices within the cultural field of cinematography, under the supervision of dr. sc. Natalija Majsova (Faculty of Social Sciences, Ljubljana). He had also published film criticism and film studies (Kulturpunkt.hr, Filmonaut, Hrvatski filmski ljetopis).
