Sara Čović is an assistant at the Department of Sociology at the University of Zadar. She earned a master's degree in sociology and art history at the University of Zadar, and from the academic year 2022/2023 she is enrolled in the International Joint doctoral programme in the Sociology of regional and local development. Her area of scientific interest is environmental sociology, with a special emphasis on the impact of development policies, the economy and social innovation on the environment. She is primarily interested in quantitative research methods and data analysis, but also has a desire to develop skills in qualitative methodology. She conducts seminars and exercises for methodological courses at the undergraduate level of study where she is dedicated to encouraging critical thinking and research skills of fellow students. She sees her further professional and scientific work in the field of environmental sociology with the aim of creating fairer conditions and opportunities on Earth for current and future generations.
